“My Neighbor Totoro”

Have you set up a temporary office in your home? If so, then you might want to conceal the rest of your abode by changing your video meeting background. Luckily, apps like Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams give you the option to replace your backdrop so that you can cover what’s behind you. And now, as a fan of Studio Ghibli, you can rejoice; the beloved animation studio has released 12 free virtual backgrounds featuring film stills that are intended for you to use as “wallpaper for web conferences.”

Each of the 12 video backdrops features a different Studio Ghibli movie including Kiki’s Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke. Some of the images depict beloved characters, such as Totoro, while others are less recognizable and simply include aesthetically pleasing scenes like a cherry blossom tree from The Tale of the Princess Kaguya.

Most of the Studio Ghibli backgrounds are 1920 x 1080 pixels wide and are plenty large for your backdrop. You are, however, allowed to change the size according to your application and make adjustments that include slight trimming.

Scroll down to see the video conferencing backdrops and then download your favorites on the Studio Ghibli website.
