Let autistic individuals do what they like most: concentration. Teach them how to meditate (dissolution of ego) properly.
Motivate them to study the problems of your company. Brilliantly, they will solve problems that your company didn’t even know it had. Make them study the problems of your company, and they will see patterns that have never been seen before.
They will see objective and pragmatic, simple and elegant solutions to problems that the proud neurotypicals (with their overflowing egos, politics, and their “attachment to gossip”, can’t do). See? Neurodiverse (autistic ones) have “attachment to routines”, just as neurotypicals (non-autistics) have “attachment to gossip”. Realize: autistic individuals have difficulty in social communication, in the same way, that non-autistic people have difficulty in objective speech: they say one thing, meaning another. Autistic individuals don’t have any difficulty communicating with another autistic.
I made this comparison for a reason, to show that segregation is not the way. It was unfortunate with the black community, with gays, with women, and we’re doing the same with neurodiversity. Segregation is not the way. The difference is not, and it was never a disease or disorder.
Autism is a “disorder” only because the world is neurotypical, and it’s currently failing to promote the healthy development of neurodiversity. Autistic individuals get sick not because they were born with a disease, but because the world left them like that — psychosomatic diseases, neurological and developmental disorders because they have a hypersensitive brain, living in an anxious, stressed world. Think. What a hypersensitive (a super brain) do in an anxious world? The super brain that lives in an anxious world will become anxious and sick — and way more easily.
Let them study science… feed their curiosity… provide resources… and they will solve all the puzzles that have puzzled us in the most varied sciences for decades.
Confront them with the current problems that the human species currently faces: the ecological, political, and social crisis, and they will not only solve these challenges but will create heaven here on earth, and very quickly.
Stop thinking that autistic people need treatment, stop repeating “he has mild autism”. I don’t call you “mild neurotypical” for one reason: non-autistic people are different people, no “less”.
For example, I can read all day long on a subject that interests me — I can read all day long and without any distraction, in fact, I feel stressed when someone interrupts me. You, being neurotypical, can do that of course… but to be able to do this… you’ll need years of intensive training in concentration meditation (specific techniques that improve concentration), and thus it would take months, if not years of training for you to experience the cognitive benefits of this mental flow. Does that make you stupid, and me smarter? It does not.
Elon Musk is a billionaire; I was a bit less lucky being black, and growing in an undeveloped country, I am not a billionaire. But we can conclude, and with absolute confidence: Elon Musk is not more intelligent than I am, or you. We’re different. We have different inclinations for intellectual, spiritual, and social development. Musk was just a little luckier than you and me.
Neurodiversity, not a “disorder”, or “mild autism”;
Diversity, not segregation — different, not less;
Harmony, no ridicule — stop bullying us, and provides us resources for healthy development.
You do not have “mild non-autism” and the diagnosis of attachment to gossip; In the same way that I don’t have “mild autism” and the diagnosis of attachment to routines. Accept what’s different, think differently.
Like Steve Jobs did.
Like Einstein did.
Like Imhotep did.
And like Bill Gates and Elon Musk are currently doing
