Deep Security can help you scale your virtualization and cloud environments securely without compromising performance and efficiency. You can avoid the operational nightmare of having to manage multiple point security solutions, which inevitably leads to disjointed policies and a huge management overhead.
Let’s look at a closer look at some of these new capabilities…
Integration with VMware vSphere 6
As many of you know, in March 2015, VMware released vSphere 6, which included more than 650 new features.
Trend Micro is introducing integration with VMware vSphere 6 which will ensure VMware customers continue to have secure environments protected by the advanced security controls delivered by Deep Security. Deep Security 9.6 will provide multiple flexible options for deployment with vSphere 6, which address unique customer needs and environments. Customers can choose the right deployment option for their VMware environment.

The bottom line is customers will be able to secure their vSphere 6 environments with the comprehensive security they have come to expect from Trend Micro Deep Security.
New Deep Security for SAP Module
Trend Micro Deep Security now has a module that will allow customers with SAP deployments to perform antivirus scanning on content being uploaded to SAP repositories and databases. Deep Security 9.6 has integrated this SAP functionality into the Deep Security Agent. Deep Security now works seamlessly with the SAP Virus Scan (VSI) interface to scan content for applications such as NetWeaver, HANA and Fiori. The SAP module has been fully incorporated in to Deep Security 9.6 as part of the RedHat Enterprise Linux and SuSE Enterprise Linux builds and can now be licensed directly through Deep Security Manager.
The Deep Security for SAP module enables organizations to monitor traffic as it goes through SAP systems using the native SAP VSI. As documents are put into key SAP systems, Deep Security performs anti-malware scans and reviews the information to identify potential threats. This advanced detection capability provides an added layer of protection above standard anti-virus capabilities.
New SIEM Integration with IBM QRadar
Last year with Deep Security 9.5, Trend Micro introduced integration with a leading SIEM solution HP ArcSight. Now, Deep Security 9.6 is adding support for IBM QRadar using the Log Event Extended Format (LEEF 2.0). The addition of IBM QRadar support allows Deep Security to continue to expand its ecosystem of SIEM providers. This integration will enable organizations that have invested in IBM QRadar to monitor operational and system status and see virtual machine security status from a single view. This allows the operations team to correlate system activity with security activity and address problems in their data center holistically.
Expansion of Supported Platforms
In addition, Deep Security 9.6 will provide will offer support for a range of new platforms and capabilities.
New Agent Platform Support
