Google: Censorship is Alive and Well, and Thriving in Russia and Turkey

The government is watching – and apparently disapproving more and more of what we do online to the point of censorship. According to Google’s eighth Transparency Report (it launched it in 2010), the search giant received 68% more requests to remove content in the first half of 2013 than it did in the last half of 2012.
