Six of the largest tech companies in the world – Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft, AOL and Yahoo – have co-authored a letter to members of the House Judiciary Committee, requesting approval to provide more transparency to the American people regarding National Security Letter requests. They also laid out their support of the just-introduced USA Freedom Act, which looks to reform existing bulk surveillance methods.
